Class requirements:

• This class is designed for students in kindergarten.
• Adult must stay during class time and must be available to participate as needed for specific parent coaching drills.
• Participation in these drills earns a “Very Involved Parent” patch for their student’s uniform
• Participation in these drills also earns a “Parent Coaching” tee-shirt for parents

Class description:

• This class will focus on developing focus, respect, confidence and listening skills as well as the basics of kenpo.
• This class will meet for 45 minutes twice a week (1 “A” class and 1 “B” class)

Students will learn:

• Basic stances, blocks and strikes
• How to exercise properly (push-ups / planks, sit-ups / crunches, jumping jacks, squats, etc)
• Social skills based on real-life scenarios
• Grip releases
• Stranger safety techniques
• Self-defense combinations (“A” day focus)
• The Star Block Set (“B” day focus)
• Drills to practice all of the above skills
